Founded in 1986 by Managing Director Mark Hanks, Engineered Precision Machining (EPM) has grown into Western Australia’s trusted leader for complex 5-axis CNC machining, heavy turning, horizontal boring, reverse engineering, and hydraulic cylinder manufacturing. Headquartered across two expansive industrial facilities in Kewdale, EPM combines state-of-the-art European and Japanese machine tools with an uncompromising commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.

6-Metre Heavy Lathe
Heavy 3-axis CNC lathe with live milling and 153mm spindle bore. Designed for long shafts, conveyor rolls, and drill string components.
Heavy Boring & Milling
Enormous 4-axis horizontal boring and milling centre for multi-tonne gearbox casings, excavator arms, and subsea structures.
7-Axis Swiss Precision
Twin-spindle sliding headstock with driven tooling for simultaneous front/rear machining of intricate small components and fittings.
Aftermarket Equipment Spares
When critical machinery breaks down, waiting weeks for costly OEM replacement parts halts your operations. EPM manufactures and reverse engineers exact-spec or improved replacement parts for Australasia's leading drill & blast and mining fleets.
Custom replacement parts can be manufactured and treated in as little as 48 hours to minimise expensive downtime.
Equipped with Faro Arm Gauge+ and Sheffield D8 CMM for exact geometric measurement and metallurgical upgrading.

Dedicated Hydraulic Division
Operating from our specialized Kewdale Warehouse 2 facility, EPM provides complete end-to-end hydraulic cylinder overhaul and bespoke manufacturing. Our experienced hydraulic technicians diagnose, strip down, precision machine, reseal, and dynamically pressure-test every cylinder before delivery.
All cylinders are thoroughly cleaned, dismantled, and measured with full failure reports before quote approval.
From chromed induction-hardened rods to honed cylinder barrels machined on our Sunnen HTA 4100 NC hone.
